Celina Grace - P.D. James level talent

With every installment of Kate's story, she becomes a more rounded and nuanced character. She's not perfect, but that is what makes her so relatable. I have enjoyed every book in the series and would highly recommend this author to everyone who loves crime fiction.

Not enough mystery

The story suffers from so much focus on nappies, feeding, and sleep (deprivation) much more than moving the mystery along. I was surprised anyone with newborns would even try to work a case given the demands on her time, life, and recovering body. I look forward to the next book when it'll make more sense for Kate to go investigating.

Kate's new challenge

Solving murders is old hat for Kate Redman but newborn twins, sleep deprived and a murder might be to much. She's not back at work but Kate needs something to dig into. Being a new mom doesn't get in the way, well mostly. The new Kate Redman book is a must read. Looking forward to the next book.
